EXPERIENCES

This experience is designed to introduce you to rainbow trout fishing in mountain lakes and streams. We will fish for approximately 4-5 hours from the shore. In some cases, we will hike for 4-5 hours to reach the lake. We will also have time for breakfast, lunch, and rest. Backpacks will be carried by our team and yourself.

Experience Description:

Day 1: We will begin the day with a pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco at 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM in the Sacred Valley. We will then embark on a scenic 1-1.5-hour drive through the mountains to the starting point of the hike. Upon arrival, we will have breakfast and prepare for a leisurely 3–4-hour hike through the mountains. Afterward, we will have time for lunch and a rest. We will then settle into camp for a short walk around the area to acclimate. At 6:00 PM, we will have dinner and receive instructions for the following day's fishing trip.

Day 2: At 6:00 AM, we will have breakfast and prepare for a short hike of approximately one hour to the lake. Upon arrival, we will provide you with all the necessary fishing equipment, either fly fishing or spinning gear. We will then participate in a small offering ceremony to the lake, or "qocha," before continuing to fish until 12:00 PM. We will then have time for lunch before returning along the same path, and taking you back to your hotel. (Fishing will be from the shore)

Recommendations:

• Bring warm and waterproof clothing

• Bring walking sticks (if you normally need them for steep hikes or have any knee problems whatsoever)
